A LITTLE STORY
ABOUT A
Dreamer named Irene
Meet Irene: A Dreamer Turned Digital Problem-Solver
โ
At 14 years old, Irene, a bright student at Mijomboni Primary School in rural Kenya, had never touched a computer before. Like many of her classmates, she grew up in a village where electricity is unreliable and internet access is nearly nonexistent. But everything changed when Dreamers Wish Foundation introduced its STEAM initiative to her school.
โ
Through the donated laptops and the RACHEL offline learning system, Irene began exploring basic computer skills—typing, using educational software, and learning how to code simple programs. At first, she was shy, afraid to break something or press the wrong button. But with each hands-on lesson, her confidence grew.
Within a few weeks, Irene was helping her classmates navigate the keyboard and troubleshoot errors.
โ
Today, Irene dreams of becoming an environmental engineer. With the skills she’s gained from the tech-powered classroom, she’s not just learning about the world—she’s preparing to change it.
