Dreamers WIsh FoundatioN Refugee Youth Program Apprentice
The Refugee Youth Program Apprentice will play a vital role in supporting our initiatives that serve the refugee youth community in Utah. This part-time role is ideal for an ambitious college student interested in non-profit work, community service, and entrepreneurship. The apprentice will assist in strategizing, designing, and managing programs aimed at improving the lives of children in grades K through 12. The apprentice will also participate in developing campaigns, helping secure sponsorships and grants, and establishing partnerships to enhance the educational experiences for refugee youth.
Responsibilities:

Assist in developing a strategic plan for the Refugee Youth Program, working towards achieving our objectives within set timelines.

Help establish and foster volunteer opportunities for the Dreamers Wish Foundation, promoting involvement in serving the refugee youth community.

Assist in coordinating with potential sponsors, helping secure sponsorships and grants for various events and programs aimed at enhancing the lives of refugee children.

Contribute to the design and execution of effective campaigns and workshops that align with the needs of the refugee youth in Utah, such as poetry workshops, art workshops, and teen mentorship programs.

Help adapt successful programs, like the dance program, to fit the needs and interests of refugee youth, and assist in organizing them as after-school activities.

Support relationship-building efforts with local communities, schools, non-profit organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders to advance the objectives of the Refugee Youth Program.

Aid in monitoring and evaluating the impact of our programs, utilizing data to suggest improvements and maximize their effectiveness.
Qualifications:

Some experience or demonstrated interest in program coordination, preferably within a non-profit, educational, or humanitarian context.

Passion for working with youth, particularly refugees, with an understanding of their unique challenges.

Demonstrated leadership skills, including managing groups and projects, even in an academic or extracurricular context.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on data and insights.

Work Conditions:

This is a part-time position and may require working outside of traditional business hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed for events, workshops, and meetings.
NOT A PAID POSITION
