Real engineering skills
Students learn building, coding, problem-solving and teamwork — the same foundations taught in expensive private robotics programs, free.
Salt Lake City · Free program
Dreamers Wish Foundation's free Robotics & AI Bootcamp gives kids ages 8–14 real robots, real code and real mentors — every Tuesday in Salt Lake City.
The program
Every Tuesday afternoon, the Hartland Partnership Center turns into a robotics lab.
Kids ages 8–14 build and program VEX robots, learn block coding and explore AI — guided by caring mentors, with all equipment provided. No experience needed. No cost, ever.
Our students come from refugee, immigrant and low-income families across Salt Lake City, West Valley, Taylorsville, Kearns and Magna. Many are touching a robot for the first time — and leaving with the confidence of young engineers.
The program runs in partnership with the Bountiful STEM Educational Foundation (curriculum, robotics resources and laptops) and the Utah STEM Action Center, at the University of Utah's Hartland Partnership Center.

Why free matters
Students learn building, coding, problem-solving and teamwork — the same foundations taught in expensive private robotics programs, free.
Weekly mentors who believe in these kids. Many students say the encouragement mattered as much as the robots.
From first robot to showcase day — students build toward competitions, a STEAM fair and the confidence to dream bigger.
Dreamers Wish Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 87-1835814) holding Candid's Platinum Seal of Transparency — serving 8,000+ young people across Utah, Ghana and Kenya since 2021. Learn about our work with refugee youth.
