The need
Many of our partner schools have no reliable internet, and some have no electricity at all. In rural Ghana, more than 600 children at our partner schools had never used a computer. Without power and a connection, even a full computer lab sits dark between our visits.

Our approach
Our 2026/27 flagship: satellite internet for the computer labs at Dadome DA Basic School in Ghana and Mijomboni Primary in Kenya. See the plan
STEAME Innovation Labs equipped with computers, VEX Robotics kits and licensed VEX software, serving 700–2,000 students a year.
Solar panel installations for schools without electricity, so labs can run every day. Learn more
Khan Academy, Wikipedia and textbooks available offline, with no internet needed.
VEX Robotics kits, coding and AI lessons that turn math and physics into hands-on challenges.
Two trained school champions per school maintain equipment so it lasts.
A 5-week program for refugee teens (ages 12–17) in Utah: aeronautics, flight simulation, aerial photography, drone assembly and safety, ending with a graduation flight and certificate.
IllustrationOur STEM labs have the computers. Now they need the internet. Starlink satellite internet will keep two labs connected all year: Dadome DA Basic School in Ghana, a hub for 7 nearby partner schools, and Mijomboni Primary in Kenya.
$550 one time ($200 setup + $350 equipment), then $55 a month
About $2,420 for the first year
IllustrationSome of our partner schools have no electricity at all. Solar panels on the roof can power lights, computers and a STEM lab, and can even let a school earn income by charging phones for the community.
Partner schools without reliable electricity
Shared as each school is assessed

Our STEAME Innovation Labs pair computers with VEX Robotics kits and licensed VEX software, so students can design, build and code real robots, and teachers can earn certifications in the same room.
