Where the money goes
The need
Before our involvement, only 10–20% of students at our partner schools in Ghana and Kenya were graduating to the next level — not for lack of talent, but for lack of desks, safe classrooms, books and trained teachers. At Mijomboni Primary in Kenya, more than 1,000 children had no desk and learned sitting on the floor.
“We are grateful for programs and training in computer applications we can use to improve lessons for our students in the classroom.”Mr. Agbenadu, Dadome DA Basic School, Ghana

Our approach
Hands-on robotics, coding and AI for elementary through high school students in Utah, Ghana and Kenya. Utah program
Digital literacy and ICT training, with certification for teachers at our partner schools. How it works
Students learn how a business works, from idea to budget to pitch, and can build tech products for their ideas.
Empowerment workshops on emotions, health and hygiene, leadership and confidence that prepare students for life beyond the classroom. Learn more
One-on-one mentors guide K–12 students with study skills, confidence, career exploration and college prep.
Volunteers support rural teachers, give out textbooks, exercise books and stationery, and encourage children to write their own stories.
We repair floors, windows, doors and walls, then plaster and paint, so every classroom is safe and inspiring.
Each desk seats two students. We've provided 60+ desks in Kenya so far, with hundreds more needed.
Books that build literacy, and school bags filled with the supplies every student needs.

Free robotics, AI, coding and IT classes after school for refugee and low-income kids, with Bountiful STEM Educational Foundation at the University of Utah's Hartland Partnership Center and Utah Valley Refugees.
